Heather Watson and Paul Jubb of the United Kingdom were eliminated from the US Open main draw after losing their last qualifying matches.
Former British number one Watson, 30, was defeated 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 by 16-year-old Czech Sara Bejlek.
Jubb, the world number 203, was defeated by Dutchman Gijs Brouwer 7-6 (7-3) 3-6 6-2.
The year’s final Grand Slam begins on Monday at Flushing Meadows in New York.
Watson’s defeat means that two British women will compete in the singles draw, with reigning champion Emma Raducanu and Harriet Dart already qualified as direct entrants.
Jubb hoped to compete in the men’s draw alongside Andy Murray, Cameron Norrie, Dan Evans, Jack Draper, and Kyle Edmund.
